This course is ideal for aspiring artisan producers or those looking to launch their own food business, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and food quality.
This is the industry standard for qualified waiting on and bar staff. Successful achievement means that learners have proven knowledge skills and understanding of the fundamental practices of the food and drink service. Suitable for those currently employed in such a position, but without a relevant qualification, or for those wishing to advance their career prospects.
This FdSc programme is mapped to the FdSc Food and Drink Operations and Manufacturing Management standard to enable employers to utilise the apprenticeship levy to develop their operation management teams and provide progression opportunities for employees. This programme is also available as a stand-alone FdSc to provide access to non-levy funded or self-funded students.
They allow students to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the food and beverage/front of house sector.
The qualifications cover all aspects of food and beverage service supervision.
They will deliver the key skills required by the learner to ensure they will have a thorough understanding of the role and expectations that any future employer will expect of them.
The Level 2 Diploma or Certificate Food and Beverage Service is for candidates who wish to work in the hospitality industry and already have knowledge of the basic principles of restaurant or bar work, or who can demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to work and study in order to supplement their existing knowledge.
Candidates will be required to display both practical skills and the associated knowledge in order to complete the assessments.
The qualification covers both food safety and safety at work, menu knowledge and design, customer service and handling payments and food and beverage service and product knowledge.
This standard focuses on working on food and drink production lines within food manufacturing plants and businesses. This 2 year apprenticeship is based at our Holbeach campus and awards an Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 Diploma in Food and Drink Operations.
