Our courses cover a wide range of food manufacturing subject areas, including food quality and safety management, microbiology, new product development and food processing technologies. Students receive a high level of support, tutor contact and regular course correspondence. We are very responsive and have student welfare and success at the heart of everything that we do.

Programme Duration
The Higher Apprenticeship is a three year programme. Embedded into the scheme are a range of long and short programmes of study of which the Foundation Degree is the key qualification. This is supported by attendance on three short courses and is usually delivered in parallel with the first year of the Foundation Degree. However courses required extended knowledge for example BRC Third Party Auditing would be delivered later in the programme. The programme runs for three years to accommodate a September or January start onto our Foundation Degree programme. Individuals can then progress onto the BSc (Hons) programme if they wish after completion on the Foundation Degree. As a part time distance learning programme, this programme can be accessed from anywhere in the UK and is supported by visits in the workplace.
