Describe your job in 20-25 words

Since starting my role as Operations Graduate, I have been given many opportunities to increase my knowledge and skills in different departments within Dunbia. This has enabled me to gain an overall understanding of the meat industry from lairage to boning hall.

How did you end up in this job? 

I was working as a butcher and fancied a change but still wanted to work within the meat industry. I had completed a Masters in Sustainable Food Systems and found this graduate role at Dunbia. Prior to that I was working in the housing sector giving support and care to homeless people.

Whats the best thing about your job? 

Working with different people and cultures, getting a greater understanding of the whole operations of the business, working in a fast-paced environment.

If you could give your 16-year-old self some career advice, what would it be? 

Try different things, do something you enjoy, don’t let anyone else pressure you to do something you don’t want to.
