Tasty Careers Ambassadors attend Careers Fair at Spalding Grammar School

On Thursday 8th October, Tasty Careers Ambassadors, Jordan Ripley and Evan Norton of Worldwide Fruit, traveled to the Spalding Grammar School to take part in their Careers Fair.
The attendance of the careers fair, all came about after they completed the National Skills Academy for Food & Drink's Tasty Careers Ambassador Training course. They attempting to give the future generations a good understanding about the Food & Drink Industry, explaining to students between year groups 11-13 about Worldwide Fruit as a company, who they are as employees, what they have done as part of their roles and how they got into the industry. They also aimed to quash some common myths that seem to surround the industry.
Jordan and Evan arrived at 11am, set up their fantastic stand and the Fair began at 12:30pm. Year groups entered in hourly slots and were all taking an incredible interest in the key reasons why the Ambassadors were there.

Whilst the Ambassadors were there, the main questions asked by the students were:
- What does your company do?
- What opportunities are there within your company?
- What jobs are there in the Food & Drink Industry?
- Do you enjoy what you do?
After the Careers Event had taken place, Jordan and Evan said, "It was an excellent day, with lots of people sampling the company's Jazz apples, a great amount of support from Spalding Grammar School Staff, lots of interest in the Industry and with the Tasty Careers resources we had, we hope we've made the Food & Drink Industry a topic that students can consider when they are thinking about their options for the future."
