Course Overview

The first year of the course involves studying a range of subjects that cover the mechanical as well as electrical and electronic fields in the engineering sector. This qualification is equivalent to 1.5 A–levels in engineering.
The second year involves a range of subjects that cover the mechanical as well as electrical and electronic fields in the engineering sector that will grant the applicant an Extended Diploma in Engineering with 180 credits. The first and second years of the course are equivalent to 3 A–levels in engineering.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSE’s at grade B/C (6 -4) or above including maths, English & a very good School Report BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Engineering (Grade Merit + Report (Including 90% minimum attendance)

Delivery & Assessment methods

Assignment based & In-class assessments (All assessments are internal) ?Units graded as a pass (P), merit (M) or distinction (D), dependent on the work completed throughout the course.

Progression

Year 1 ? BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering providing a minimum of a grade MM, with at least 90% attendance. ? Apprenticeships ?
