- Describe your job in 20-25 words.
Providing our customers with top-quality products efficiently while optimising every aspect of the supply chain.
- Give a description of a day in the life of a Supply chain graduate.
Currently placed within the Demand Planning team, my day starts with a chat with my manager where we discuss my daily tasks and longer-term projects. After our meeting, I start into analysing data to refine our forecasts. Throughout the day, I attend cross-functional meetings with supply chain, production, and sales teams to address any issues and optimise our processes. My goal is to maximise forecast accuracy so customer needs are correctly met. By the end of the day, I help review our progress and prepare reports to track our performance.
After you qualified, did it take long to find a job?
I actually applied to this job role while I was in my final year of university.
- How did you end up in this job?
My previous Job history was in supermarkets and during the pandemic, my interest grew towards supply chain and operations. After taking on a masters education in supply chain studies, it felt natural to apply for a job at a food or beverage manufacturer.
- Where do you see yourself in five years time?
I hope that when I finish the graduate program I can progress onto a manager role within the GB supply chain. At the moment I really enjoy the central planning role I’m involved in at the moment.
