· What does a Reliability engineer do? As a reliability engineer I get to work along side our asset manager to better perform maintenance in the factory. Working in a fast paced environment has allowed me to get involved in a range of projects from machinery installation to data tracking dashboards.
· After you qualified, did it take long to find a job? I started at this role a week after completing my course. While I was in university I started to actively apply to jobs to get stuck straight in.
· What’s the best thing about your job? No day is the same, the quick changing environment makes for exciting opportunities.
· Has your salary changed since then – if not do you see salary progression? My salary is reviewed every 6 months in line with my performance/development.
· Where do you see yourself in five years time? I see myself in a management role, working with a team of engineers to deliver an effective engineering service to a food manufacturing site. This will allow me to gain further experience in driving long-term improvements, while retaining focus on day-to-day tasks.
