What does an Operations Support Manager do?  

I work cross-functionally with the production manager and shift lead teams to deliver production targets whilst maintaining H&S and Food Safety standards. I liaise with all support functions ranging from Finance, Engineering, R&D, Planning and many others.  

How did you end up in this job?  

I never intended to end up within the Food & Drinks industry, but took on a role in another company as a Shift Lead. I worked across Mealkits and Beverages before entering a role in the Dairy industry. After four years across three companies in Shift Lead roles, I stepped up to the Operations Support Manager role.  

What’s the best thing about your job?  

The people – having a team of over 240 staff to develop and train – no day is ever quiet! I also enjoy that no day is ever the same, with fresh challenges to overcome in order to meet production demands whilst working alongside multiple departments.

Further progression within the business – potentially a Production Manager role or equivalent.
