How did you end up in this job?
I studied businesses for 2 years and college, this gave me chance to look into different careers available and paths to take to work in a specific field. I then began to research apprenticeships available in food and drink and manufacturing. When studying and looking at people within work, many say how they enjoy working for a company where they feel valued, this was something that I also researched. The behaviours and morals of a company are important. This job offered me a position to train in the field I wanted to train in and work for a good company.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of pursuing this career?
Research the role, read online what other people have shared about working within this field and the pros and cons. I would say give everything a go, take all opportunities to learn and understand what you’re doing.
Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?
Hopefully working within these businesses, fully trained and possibly moving to other brewery’s the business have. I would like to move abroad and work there too.
If you could give your 16-year-old self some career advice, what would it be?
Don’t worry and research other roles, uni isn’t the only option.
