After you qualified, did it take long to find a job?

My big tip is to begin your job search in the final months of your qualification rather than when you officially receive the qualification so that you are not missing out on great job opportunities. The great thing is, is that many companies offer a smooth transition into the workforce, with opportunities tailored to learns. At testament to this, is that I accepted my first role 8 months before starting the role!

What's the best thing about your job?

I find immense fulfilment in supporting people as they grow and succeed in their careers. Being able to witness individuals develop their skills, unlock their potential, and receive well-earned recognition for their achievements is incredibly rewarding. Helping others navigate their professional journeys and reach new heights is what drives me.

What was your starting salary?

HR Graduate - £28,000 with £2,000 increase per annum.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

In 5 years, I want to continue working in this field, helping others thrive and discover their passions. While the future is unpredictable, I know new opportunities and changes in life can reshape what drives us. My goal is to keep learning, refining my skills, and expanding my knowledge—growing both personally and professionally. I strive to become a more confident, capable individual, ready to embrace whatever comes next.

If you could give your 16-year-old self some career advice, what would it be?

Embrace every opportunity to learn and gain new experiences—they form the foundation of your growth as a professional. Collaborating with others, pursuing hobbies with passion, and striving for improvement all shape the person you become and are essential to your future success. Be a sponge, absorb knowledge, and stay curious, because learning never stops—even today, I'm still discovering so much.
