- What does a HR Co-ordinator do?
As a Human Resources Co-ordinator, I assist the Human Resources Manager with the running of the department. Within my job I must assist with recruitment, retention, employee relations and employee engagement. Human resources are there to assist an organisation with the employee life cycle from start to finish.
- How did you end up in this job?
My A Levels were cut short because of COVID, so in lockdown I was looking for Apprenticeships and I found the role of business administration apprentice at ABP on Indeed. After successfully getting the role, I found my love for HR and then just after a year since I started, I was promoted to HR Co-ordinator. Luckily, I was still able to complete my apprenticeship in my new role.
- What’s the best thing about your job?
Being surrounded by lots of knowledgeable people as well as getting to try lots of tasty food.
- How long have you been doing your job?
I have been with ABP nearly 4 years however I have been in my current role nearly 3 years.
- If you could give your 16-year-old self some career advice, what would it be?
Stop worrying about not knowing what you want to do as a career. You will find your way even if you try 20 different things. It is ok not to know all the answers.
