- What does a Short-Term Production Planner do?
- Responsible for planning productions that are within a 2 week time frame. We assess the plan that has been sent to us by the Mid-Term Planner and decide based on real time data what products need to be produced, where they need to be produced, how much to produce and when in the week to produce it. We then send these plans to manufacturing sites to schedule in the productions. In addition to this we have to monitor the products we are responsible for in our portfolio and decide if plan changes are needed depending if we have oversold etc

- Requires constant problem solving and good communication with other teams to know what is going on and how you can fix things efficiently

- I worked as a teacher for 2 years while I waited to find a job and I also wanted to make sure that any graduate programme I went into was right for me but I applied for loads and just had to be patient

- The constant challenges that are always slightly different but you can also use your experience to help you overcome problems
