• Describe your job in 20 - 25 words

Working for the red meat sector is great, my job involves working with the farmers, abattoirs, supermarkets, butchers, hospitality and the public. 

• How did you end up in this job?

Coming from a farming background, I wanted a career that focussed on my two passions: agriculture and food. 

• What's the best thing about your job?

The best thing about this job is that I get to work with interesting, knowledgable people who are enthisiastic about improving the red meat sector for all. I work on projects that help expand the industry. 

• How long have you been doing your job?

I have been 6 years at HCC and it has flown by. Its great to do something you enjoy.  

• If you could give your 16 year old self some career advice, what would it be?

Its ok if you are not sure where you want to be, go out and work various weekend jobs and find out what you enjoy and what you are good at!
