- What does a Food Graduate do? A food graduate at Kepak works in all 11 departments ranging from Supply Chain to Brand Marketing to Health and Safety, spending 6 weeks in each. They get the chance to take on projects and spend time in the roles available in each department.
- What’s the best thing about your job? Getting the chance to work with professionals from various backgrounds and experiences, allowing exposure to all different skill sets and ways of working, whilst building trustworthy work relationships along the way.
- Has your salary changed since then – if not do you see salary progression? Yes, all the graduates in the company got a pay rise with the chance for salary progression in the second year of the scheme based on individual performance.
- Where do you see yourself in five years’ time? I will hopefully be settled into a role at Kepak where I discovered my love for the scheme, and all the skills and knowledge I gained from the graduate scheme will be helping me progress further in my career.
- If you could give your 16-year-old self some career advice, what would it be? Don’t be afraid of trying new things, even if it’s something you never imagined yourself doing before! Be yourself and work hard, and things will fall into place.
