What does a Customer Finance Apprentice do?

My job role includes:

Running reports for over 200 people, as part of a weekly/monthly process

Business Partnering sales and other teams

Aligning and checking numbers

Presenting to different groups of people

What advice would you give to someone thinking of pursuing this career?

If someone wanted a job in the food industry, or in finance, I’d say to get a job that you can be enthusiastic about. Working is much easier when you have a genuine interest in what you are doing.

Has your salary changed since then – if not do you see salary progression?

I would say that there is pretty good progression, however when you have a lot of responsibility you are definitely working hard enough to deserve a pay rise.

Year 1 – 19k

Year 2 – 21.25k

Year 2.5 – 25.5k

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Did you buy something special with your first pay cheque?
