A vast majority of the work is done on spreadsheets and involves numbers, but also a lot of teamwork with other departments.

How did you end up in this job?

Pursued training in accounting after finding a liking for it at school and being guided in this direction by teachers in secondary school.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of pursuing this career?

Critical thinking and organisation skills help a lot in the busy environment.

How long have you been doing your job?

Only around 5 months, starting in September 2025.

If you could give your 16 year old self some career advice, what would it be?

Start applying for apprenticeships/trainee jobs way sooner – The longer you wait, the harder it gets to find a good one.
