How did you end up in this job?

I started feeling as if Health and Social care was not the route for me at that current time so decided to explore other apprenticeships and come across Bakkavor who was looking for a Level 4 Finance apprentice. I always had an interest in Finance but never chose to pursue it so thought this would be a great opportunity.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Getting to meet new people and socialise with a great team every day. I also enjoy that every day is different and that I can learn on the job.

If you had the chance to do it all over again, what would you do the same/differently?

I wouldn’t change the way I got here, although I went to college and studied something which is not relevant to my job now, I am so glad I did it as it has widened my career path in the future. It also just shows that what you do in school, college or Uni does not determine your future.

If you could give your 16-year-old self some career advice, what would it be?

That everything happens for a reason and failure is just a motivation boost. Not all careers go the way you want to but there is a destination for everyone.
