Describe your job in 20-25 words.

I oversee and provide environmental knowledge and advice on site projects, monitor water treatment, waste streams and emissions looking for the most sustainable outcome that meets our legal requirements.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The variety, the job is different every day and there’s always lots to learn.

Has your salary changed since then – if not do you see salary progression?

I get a 2.5k pay rise annually for the duration of my 5-year degree course, and will get a fixed salary after completion

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

I would have completed my degree and hopefully will be Environmental Manager for my site in Worksop, but will also be exploring other options, potentially joining the Group ESG team.

If you could give your 16-year-old self some career advice, what would it be?

Don’t stress too much, enjoy life too. Exams and choices aren’t everything there are always options; you will figure it out
