Thomas Jasper — Customer Service & Supply Chain Graduate

Name: Thomas Jasper
Job title: Customer Service & Supply Chain Graduate
Employer: Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP)
Qualification: BA Geography
What does a Customer Service & Supply Chain Graduate do?

A Customer Service & Supply Chain Graduate’s role is to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of supply chain functions. Over the first two years, graduates rotate through various departments within both the production site and office environments, gaining a deep understanding of operations from multiple perspectives. In the final year of the three-year programme, the focus shifts to leading a team on-site, allowing graduates to apply their knowledge in a leadership capacity and contribute directly to the success of factory operations.

After you qualified, did it take long to find a job?

After finishing university, it took me some time to find a job that I really wanted to do. In the meantime, I returned to my previous job as a retail assistant while dedicating my free time to job applications. After around seven months of persistence and hard work, I was thrilled to be offered this position at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.

How did you end up in this job?

I first saw the job advertised on LinkedIn. I submitted my initial application which kicked off a lengthy selection process. It started with online assessments and an online interview, followed by an assessment centre and a visit to one of Coca-Cola’s production sites. The final stage was an interview with the Vice President of GB Customer Service & Supply Chain. A few days after that, I received a phone call offering me the job.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The best part of my job is the constant opportunity to learn and grow. Working in a Coca-Cola factory gives me hands-on experience with world-class operations, and no two days are ever the same. One moment I might be in the micro lab testing product samples, and the next I could be helping to coordinate deliveries in and out of the factory — and that’s just scratching the surface. The variety keeps things exciting and challenges me to keep developing new skills. And of course, the free Coca-Cola is a fun perk that never gets old!

If you could give your 16 year old self some career advice, what would it be?

Be patient with yourself. At 16, its okay to not have everything figured out. Focus on doing the best you can, be open to new experiences, and most importantly, believe in yourself!
