• Give a description of a day in the life of a Community Engagement Lead: 

My days can be quite varied – anything from writing a report on our Community KPI’s for the Group Exec Board, to attending a meeting with a local charity or community project to establish what support we might provide.  It’s unusual for two days to be the same!  It’s important to get out into our communities and talk to the people we are supporting or would like to support, equally as important is engaging with our internal stakeholders. 

• How did you end up in this job?  I had previously worked as a Personal Assistant but always had a passion for volunteering and helping in the community.  Many of my admin skills proved highly transferable and relevant to my current role.

• What’s the best thing about your job?  Meeting new people from within the business when they volunteer – always nice to meet new faces and find the right volunteering opportunity for someone new. 

• How long have you been doing your job?  18 months.
• If you could give your 16 year old self some career advice, what would it be?  You can achieve anything you want if you push yourself!
