- How did you end up in this job? Through doing different roles and finding out about category management. I knew about Samworth as it was a big local company and saw they had a role in category management.
- What advice would you give to someone thinking of pursuing this career? Give it a go, it’s a great mix of marketing with a bit of commercial. It’s more hands on and you can have a big impact on work.
- What’s the best thing about your job? The variety and the influence we can have on NPD and then seeing products you recommended being listed.
- If you had the chance to do it all over again, what would you do the same / differently? I would have moved into category a lot quicker and as I really enjoyed the work.
- If you could give your 16 year old self some career advice, what would it be? Try different jobs to see what you like and don’t before deciding on a career.
