What does an outside sales rep do?
- An outside sales rep travels around a set amount of ‘calls’ visiting their customers and building relationships with a rage of different business owners.
- We provide support to businesses in a variety of different ways; provide equipment, menu design, A-boards, various point of sale material and answering product queries.
- We get a return on investment based on the drinks that the particular outlet stocks. Having an in depth knowledge of the brands and building relationships with all customers allows us to grow our portfolio in the outlet and increase footfall with different points of sale consequently increasing both sales for the customer and CCEP.

How did you end up in this job?
- After university I wasn’t sure what career I wanted to pursue and applied to a range of graduate schemes.
- I was looking for a rotational graduate scheme where I could learn about all aspects of the business with opportunities to progress during and afterwards. CCEP provides an excellent well rounded and supportive scheme.
- I completed a rigorous application process, consisting of both online and in person interviews, a day in trade, and a presentation.
- I had the opportunity to ask all relevant questions and understand what a outside sales rep role involved.
- Finally, I was lucky enough to be accepted on to the commercial graduate scheme.

What’s the best thing about your job?

-
What was your starting salary?
- £30,000

How long have you been doing your job?
- Four months so far. It is a four year scheme though and therefore the field sales role is only the first year. After the first rotation, you can explore other avenues of the business that might be more relevant to your skill set. The first year working in field sales provides a foundation in the business and allows you to learn core selling skills.
