Engineering Apprentice (Multi Skilled) Agriculture
Location: Derbyshire, DE6 1HA
Salary: £18,928

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To complete a programme of training to be conducted by the appropriate engineering training organisation.
  • Electrical installation, electrical maintenance, electrical testing and PLC’s.
  • To become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of machine tools including, but not restricted to turning and milling, grinding and drilling.
  • Carry out planned work including PM’s, predictive maintenance, calibrations, routine inspections, projects.
  • Attend breakdown repairs.
  • Plus additional duties.

 

Please note, you will need to attend an assessment in Birmingham on Wednesday 29th June 2022. All travel costs will be covered by the employer.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will undertake four years of multiskilled maintenance engineering tailored to the food and drink manufacturing industry.

You will gain a level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in Food and Drink Maintenance.

You will undertake and complete a series of food and drink workbooks as part of your in company assessment.

At the end of your apprenticeship you will undertake an “End Point Assessment” with an independent body to validate your apprenticeship.

First year – 18 weeks Block Release at college (3 x 6 Week Blocks) 9am to 5pm. Second year – 18 weeks Block Release at college (3 x 6 Week Blocks) 9am to 5pm Third year – 18 weeks Block Release at college (3 x 6 Week Blocks) 9am to 5pm. Fourth year – Revision Blocks at college
