Apprentice Technical Operator
Location: Worksop, GB, Premier Foods

Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, our Technical Operators run the production lines performing routine maintenance and basic engineering tasks to support the engineering team. Technical Operators are the front line of our business producing food the nation loves the most.

  • Broad exposure to different areas of food manufacturing
  • Studying towards Level 3 Diploma in Food & Drink Operations, a Level 2 Certificate in Engineering, as well as supporting training and qualifications to enable you to carry out the role of Technical Operator for Premier Foods (academic content delivered onsite at Worksop)
  • Typically, 3-week shift rotation ‘Days’ (06:00-14:00), ‘Afters’ (14:00-22:00) and ‘Nights’ (22:00-06:00)

What do you need?

  • 5 GCSE’s grade A-C (or equivalent) including Science, Maths and English. IT also being a preferred pass (A-C) subject
  • Self-managed & self-motivated
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work across multiple departments as and when required
  • Good attention to detail
  • A high level of technical ability
  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over as the role requires shift working
