What does a Field Technician do?
A Field Technician travels around reacting to problems that have come through from various premises; the main part of this is maintaining and repairing CCEP machinery in restaurants and cafes – from drinks dispensers to vending machines and fridges. If it does, the job is then sent through to the corresponding team and an Engineer will then go to the premises and pick up the job, diagnosing what the problem is, and fixing it accordingly.
After you qualified, did it take long to find a job?
After I qualified my A levels, it took me a year to find a this apprenticeship, I worked in retail whilst I was searching for a job that I was interested in.
What’s the best thing about your job?
The best things about my job is that I get to travel to different places every day meeting different people, together with having my own van to travel round in makes it very enjoyable.
What was your starting salary?
My starting salary was £14,000 a year, it increased in my 2nd year to £20,925 a year.
