What's the job?
The Group’s Procurement Higher Apprenticeship Programme provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real jobs within the Group, alongside supportive training and mentoring. The scheme focuses on purchasing and developing future buyers and buying managers.
It will involve learning about and getting hands on experience of negotiating, contracting, analysis, reporting and many more.
It provides a structured 4 year training programme with work based learning and the opportunity to study for degree equivalent qualification through the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply on a distance learning basis. The 4 years will be broken down into work placements that will usually be 12 months in duration and will initially be in the Lincolnshire area with an opportunity to relocate to other sites throughout the UK.
To be successful on the programme you will be self-motivated and have the drive to succeed. You will have strong communication skills and good problem solving techniques. A commitment to learning is essential as is the ability to think on your feet and use your initiative.
Best of all, upon completing this four year apprenticeship you will be guaranteed a full-time role with Bakkavor.
What do you need?
Do you have a passion for learning and 3 A Levels or equivalent (actual or predicted) at A*- C in any subject and grades 9 – 4 (or A*- C if received in 2017 or previous) in GCSE Maths & English?
You must be willing to learn not only in the workplace but also at college where you will study a relevant qualification.
