The food and drink industry is dynamic, fast-paced and high-tech – not to mention potentially well paid. With plenty of exciting opportunities for progression, and roles that require varying levels of responsibility, your career path could go in one of many directions. It’s really down to you.
Food Technologists are key to everything. From checking the quality of raw ingredients, to assessing the final product, you’ll work hard to ensure that food is safe – and consistently delicious. You’ll also experience the satisfaction of helping to develop new products from scratch.
3 - 6 years
The programme will combine food science, technology and nutrition with the objective of creating innovative food products whilst ensuring that they are safe, wholesome and nutritious. This will also help address future issues such as, prevention and treatment of chronic disease, malnutrition, resource depletion and food fraud. New product development (NPD) is a key element, whilst industry relevant areas such as communication, entrepreneurship, team and project management are embedded in the programme.View more
